About Amber

I believe that most people already hold the answers they are looking for within them. It is my goal to create a safe space where you can question, release, and discover all you are seeking. I will do my best to walk beside you as you pursue healing, health, and increased understanding.

  • I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana. I am also a credentialed sexually abusive youth clinician (CSAYC) which allows me to utilize my expertise to help youth with sexual behaviors and their families.

I received my master’s of science in clinical mental health counseling from Indiana State University in 2016. In 2013, I graduated from Harding University with my bachelor’s of science degree in child and family sciences.

I completed my 200 hour registered yoga teacher training through Rippy Yoga and am certified through Yoga Alliance.

I am a member of the AASP (Association of Applied Sport Psychology) and am currently in process of obtaining my CMPC (Certified Mental Performance Consultant) credentialing.

  • I offer a welcoming and empathetic attitude towards my clients. Throughout my professional work over the years, I have experience working with people of diverse backgrounds. I often utilize an eclectic approach by drawing from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), person-centered, and mindfulness as I work with clients. Often I will utilize art, breathwork, nature, mindfulness, and movement in sessions to help clients create more meaningful connections.

  • When I am not providing therapy services you can find me outside at a park, running, practicing yoga, or spending time with my goofy labradoodle. I value time with friends and family and love spending time with them throughout my days.

  • I have experience working with people from ages 6-85, but have a special interest in ages 15-40.

Some of my specific areas of clinical interest include the following:
    -Life transitions
    -Self-image/self-esteem
